This is not for the weak

Editing day #1

No one said it would be this hard

Learning how to edit is something that I am not used to but I didn't expect it to seem impossible the only experience I have with editing would come from me editing a picture on my phone but trying to edit footage to be synchronized and to look professional is very hard especially when you're using a program you're not familiar with there was a lot of trial and error and because no one knew what they were doing we didn't get far in editing our film other than placing the scenes in order and kidding maybe one or two transitions in two attempt and synchronize the first two scenes but even then those were very choppy and did not look very well.

Realizing we had no idea what we were doing we then decided to watch a couple of YouTube videos and attempted to do the tips and tricks we saw just to have a basic understanding of how to do certain things

After getting an understanding of the basics we then moved on to more complex tips such as changing colors, speed, and adding background sounds. Gratefully we used a simple program called Cap-Cut which made putting our film together a lot easier when compared to more professionally used programs such as Premiere Pro.

Granted Premiere Pro would have maybe given us more options and flexibility with the things we could have added to our film but ultimately I think my team and I made a great choice using a simple program that we could all understand. Being that we had to produce our finished film in a certain amount of time but also due to not needing everything Premiere Pro has to offer using Cap-Cut and keeping it small stopped us from feeling more anxious or concerned about our film not having enough and equating it to not being as good.
