Adding a flash forward
I wanted to make a post dedicated to explaining why me and my group decided to use a flash forward as a opening. We did this because we wanted to reel the viewer in and link the ending to the beginning. After watching our complete movie, I think we should have differentiated in maybe color or shutter speed to signify that the scene was different. "Remy dreams of becoming a great chef, despite being a rat in a definitely rodent-phobic profession. He moves to Paris to follow his dream, and with the help of hapless garbage boy Linguini he puts his culinary skills to the test in the kitchen but he has to stay in hiding at the same time" (Wikipedia) For example, like this scene in ratatouille where the food critic takes a bite of food and a flashback is shown of him as a child the explicit appearance change along with the color shift lets the viewer know that this is a flashback. if me and my group would have done one of those two things our film opening scene may have looked more...
Bad News
Unfortunately due to me using a computer that lacks space my previous CCR that I had spent two days editing experienced a file corruption so I am starting over from scratch with my CCR. Along with some of my blogs that I had as drafts to edit them have also disappeared. This is a major setback and has killed my motivation leaving me very down and unmotivated but despite that I will try my best to create an even better CCR the second go round.
