   3 main types of thriller sub-genres are Psychological Action  Crime Psychological Thriller- Ma Ma is considered a psychological thriller due to the main character (Sue Ann) being psychologically stressed Action Thriller - Tenet Tenet consists of activities such as fighting and chase scenes. It is often compared to James Bond movies, except it has time manipulation involved which helped keep viewers entertained.  Crime Thriller - Widows Crime thrillers are known to expose the crime that the main character is planning, which is why Widows is a crime thriller. The viewers watch four widows pull off a heist that their husbands were planning before they were killed. Discussion on genres and sub-genres

 Tropes are things that are specific to certain types of genres. To understand tropes we have to understand what genres are.  According to StudioBinder genre can be defined as "categories where a particular movie can be placed based on the setting, characters, plot, mood, tone, and theme."  Genres also have sub-genres, which are "smaller category that fits inside a particular genre" Overall the combination of genres and sub-genres allows for the overall combination of a great film.                                                   Me and my team decided on a thriller. We chose it for our mutual love of horror, yet we felt like thriller fit the vision for our vision more along with us feeling like it would be more practical for us to film.
