It is often compared to James Bond movies, except it has time manipulation involved which helped keep viewers entertained.  Crime Thriller - Widows Crime thrillers are known to expose the crime that the main character is planning, which is why Widows is a crime thriller. The viewers watch four widows pull off a heist that their husbands were planning before they were killed.
